Arrifana is situated in Vale da Telha, north of Carrapateira and South of Aljezur. It is a 35mins direct drive from Lagos.

This is one of the most sought out beaches in the Summer as it is a beachbreak inside a bay, sheltered from the Northwind with high cliffs.

There are a few selection of easier waves (than the rest of the West coast beaches) to choose from that can go from one to five feet high. It also features it’s famous Point Break on the right side of the bay, in front of the fishing harbour, that can produce a long and powerful barrelling right, the can span from four to twelve feet high. This wave is only for expert surfers.

Works with every type of swell direction.

Both North and East winds are suitable for this beach.

Depending on conditions, mid tides are best for the beachbreaks and low tide for the Point Break. This info we provide you is based on average conditions. Because conditions can change day by day, we advise you to always check the forecast and seek advice from the local surf schools and surf shops.
